| The three-tiered Kune Falls forms a spectacular sight for tourists as they cross the last tunnel on Mumbai-Pune road to enter Lonavala. Innumerable local & outstation tourists come down to the Kune Falls to enjoy a day of outing near the falls or to just admire the gushing waterfall. For reaching the spectacular Kune Falls, one needs to take the Mumbai-Pune expressway & leave it at the Lonavala bypass to take the old Mumbai-Pune highway. A short 10 minutes drive takes you to the Kune Falls. An important landmark for reaching the falls is the Kune missionary/church which is just a few steps from the location of the falls. Since the Kune Falls continues to look majestic even after the monsoon season is over, the falls witness a large number of tourists for a long period. Road: Regular bus service from Pune or Mumbai or the twin hill stations of Khandala & Lonavala can take you to the Karla Caves. |
